UNIVERSITY EVENT SCHEDULING

We’re here to help you find the perfect space and guide you through planning your next great event. From finding the right room to handling the details, our goal is to streamline the process so you can focus on what matters most—bringing your ideas to life and connecting with the USD community.

Scheduling At USD

We manage event reservation data to support university operations and provide a centralized events calendar. The office of Univeristy Scheduling helps coordinate a variety of internal and external events through our systems, policies and protocols.

The Event Management System (EMS) serves as the central platform for reserving rooms and resources across campus. Unreserved spaces not required for academic calsses may be available in EMS for campus events and meetings.

If you are an internal USD member, please reach out directly to the building scheduler to inquire about reserving spaces not in the EMS Webapp.

If you are an external client, please submit the external client form.

Priority in the event of a scheduling conflict is as follows:

Major recurring campus events—such as Commencement Weekend, Family and Homecoming Weekend, and Orientation—are planned years in advance and take priority over external events.

Academic Requirements take precedence over all non-academic uses for all campus facilities, including lecture rooms, laboratories, athletic fields, and theaters. Academic scheduling occurs twice annually: mid-fall for spring courses, and late spring through early summer for fall courses.
